La Bessa Farm
The La Bessa farm cultivates in a healthy and natural way, respecting nature and the values of an ancient tradition.
Since 2004 it has obtained the Organic Certification, thanks to the commitment of a “naturally” healthy, genuine agriculture free from chemical alterations both during cultivation and in the production phase.
The company covers about 13 hectares, 10 of which are used as hazelnut groves and the remaining ones are used for growing potatoes and corn (ancient Piedmontese varieties).
In 2001 they started the activity with a hazelnut grove of 650 plants of the “Nocciola Tonda Gentile Trilobata” type.
In 2007, having achieved excellent results, another 600 plants were introduced and then still more until reaching and exceeding 4,000 plants to date.
In the company, the transformation of hazelnuts and the production of delicious and genuine spreadable creams have also begun, but above all the delicious “hazelnut oil”, capable of embellishing many traditional dishes.
which was awarded at the Oils of the World Competition in Paris, with a gold medal (2017), a bronze medal (2018) and a silver medal (2019).
To implement production, the cultivation of ancient corn began. From here the range of exquisite corn flours was born (Ottofile Bianco, Pignoletto Rosso and Nero Spinato), much appreciated by our customers.
They have established themselves as producers of 100% natural honey.
